BPW Galway: Minding your Mental Health Beating the Lockdown Blues


As Covid19 continues to impact our lives on a variety of levels it is no wonder that fear and anxiety can increase and overwhelming cause strong emotions and stress. Learning how to cope with stress and staying healthy and active while we are restricted at home will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger.

In this FREE webinar hosted by BPW Galway at 7:30pm this Wednesday 17th February, Dr. Jane Walsh will provide practical advice on strategies to cope with stress as well as insights on how to stay healthy and well during these challenging times arming you with some tools and tricks to not only survive but to thrive during a pandemic!

Dr. Walsh is a Health Psychologist and Director of the Mobile Technology and Health Research Group at NUI Galway where she leads an innovative research programme on health technology and behaviour. She was recently awarded (2020) both The President's Award for Research Excellence and The Dean's Award for Research Impact in recognition of her work. A keen triathlete she is more aware than most of the important role physical activity plays in promoting and supporting mental Health.

The webinar is a continuation of the It’s Not Busines As Usual Series and will take place on zoom, it will include a Q & A on the night moderated by Louise Sharkey of Vita – Nutrition.
